Three advantages of laminated glass for doors and windows

With the improvement of people's requirements for the quality of life, higher configuration and more perfect experience are also required in the selection of door and window glass. Therefore, laminated insulating glass has become the pursuit of many consumers of home decoration door and window performance. Today, gecko Jun will talk about laminated glass with everyone.

01 What is laminated glass
Laminated glass (also known as laminated glass, explosion-proof glass) is a composite glass product made of two or more pieces of float glass sandwiched with strong PVB (ethylene polymer butyrate) adhesive film, pressed by a hot press to discharge the intermediate air, and then put into a high-pressure steam kettle to dissolve a small amount of residual air into the adhesive film at high temperature and high pressure.
In addition to PVB, the interlayer film for laminated glass includes an SGP (ionic interlayer film), an EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer), and the like.
02 Advantages of laminated glass
Security
The transmittance of PVB diaphragm can reach more than 90%, and the refractive index is almost the same as that of glass. It does not harden at higher than -50 ℃ and has good bonding performance at 130-140 ℃. At this temperature, the glass is pressed with high pressure, and the glass is firmly bonded with the intermediate layer material. Therefore, laminated glass has high strength, elasticity and penetration resistance, and can withstand great impact.
Sound insulation
If the laminated glass is compared with the insulating glass, the sound insulation effect from high to low is: double laminated insulating glass> laminated insulating glass> insulating glass. Insulating glass can not solve the low-frequency noise, laminated glass can be a very good solution, this is because the laminated glass between the PVB diaphragm can hinder and buffer glass vibration, blocking noise transmission, especially the low-frequency noise isolation effect is perfect.
Energy saving
Laminated glass has a natural ability to prevent ultraviolet rays. The PVB film in the middle can absorb more than 99% of ultraviolet radiation. The principle is to absorb ultraviolet rays through the organic ultraviolet absorber and organic ultraviolet blocker in the PVB film, so that the ultraviolet radiation is converted into heat energy and lost. The inorganic ultraviolet reflector plays the role of reflecting and scattering ultraviolet rays. The shading coefficient is reduced by adding "vanadium" to play the function of energy saving and color change. Therefore, when the sun directly irradiates a colorless laminated glass, the PVB intermediate film can absorb part of the heat and only transfer part of the heat to the room, thus maintaining the indoor temperature and saving air conditioning consumption.
03 Applicable scene of laminated glass
In the home improvement, the installation of laminated hollow glass doors and windows is common in the following three situations:
1, the home is a middle and high floor, the facade doors and windows to buy standard is tempered hollow glass, but consumers consider the risk of glass self-explosion, safety reasons to do laminated glass matching.
2, the home is close to the streets, roads, elevated and other noisy places, in order to improve the sound insulation effect of doors and windows, the hollow glass is upgraded to hollow laminated glass.
3. The city where the city is located is not a city with suitable climate for all seasons. The home should be a closed sunshine room with glass on the top surface and no ceiling on the top surface. In order to improve the heat insulation performance, the standard laminated glass on the top surface should be added to hollow laminated glass.
4. Selection of common problems
The change of color
When using laminated insulating glass at home, because the total thickness of the glass is thicker, the whole glass may have low light transmittance and the problem of glass greenness. Especially when the whole house is not replaced with laminated insulating glass, it will feel incongruous with other glass.
And note that after Low-e glass and white glass are made into laminated glass, there is a big difference in color with double white glass laminated glass, so when consumers buy, they should ask if the merchants have any physical comparison and see their acceptance. When making glass configuration, the door and window glass in the same space should not be too far apart.
Performance selection
When there are higher heat insulation requirements in the home (the K value of hollow laminated glass is similar to that of hollow glass), it is recommended to add single silver Low-e to the hollow laminated glass first, then double silver Low-e, third argon, then warm the edge, and then three silver.
